Description: This is an embroidery recreation of a still life. Silk embroidered vases normally have two or more layers on the stitches, depending on different patterns.
Seed Stitches (French Knots stitches) were used for the whole vase. Seed stitch winds thread twice on the needle and makes small knots on each stitch. It is one of the traditional Chinese silk embroidery stitches. The vase was well stitched and looks solid. The colors or patterns on vases manifested traditional and ancient Chinese art. The vase looks real and three-dimensional.
