This is an embroidery recreation of a young lady playing traditional music instrument which called Yueqin. Yueqing is pizzicato string instrument and was popular from long past and even now. It has crisp sound and often used in solo, folk instrumental ensemble, dance and opera music. This beautiful young lady with traditional dress--Qipao, was sitting in a chair at garden and playing music. Big lotus flowers and leaves were behind her and drapery with small patterns at her left side.

This image brought us way back to historical time from Southern China. She sat straight up and that showed the disciplines. It is a quite stitching embroidery piece with heavily stitched Lotus flowers and leaves, the drapery, her dress, her face and hands, her posture and impression, the instrument and the chair.
