This is a metallic & silk thread embroidery piece of two dragon. Two Dragon are flying and playing a ball, which is considered good luck and powerful strength by Chinese culture.

This piece needed special techniques and stitches (Couching Stitch) to embroider on the satin materials with the golden metallic thread. Metallic thread are harder than silk thread, so we lay metallic thread along with the design and couch on them by silk floss thread. The finished embroidery art would look shiny metallic image at front side and silk embroidery image at the back side.
