Description: This is an embroidery recreation of a famous painting by Tang Bohu from the Ming Dynasty (1470-1523, Tang Bohu called Tang yin too). He was the one of six great artists from Chinese history. He was a great painter, poet and calligraphy writer. His well-known paintings have been popular from ancient times until the present.

Tang Yin was good at painting landscapes. The image of his paintings manifests the powerful and precipitous mountains, storey-buildings, brook-bridges, landscapes of the popular rivers and mountains in the morning or evening of all seasons or the leisurely and carefree life style of the scholars.

This painting shows the way that people traveled by horse for long trips in ancient China and the landscape view from ancient viewpoint. This is a nicely done embroidery piece.
