This is an embroidery recreation of a peony flower. This is the one of the different versions of Chinese Hua Kai Fugui -- painting of peony flower. Hua Kai Fugui means the best wishes for happiness, wealth and long-live life in China.

It is only one flower but was stitched solid and smooth. The red peony flower blossoms beautifully with bluish green leaves. Many red colors were used for this peony flower and their transferring on petals is such detailed and gradations are handled well.
