Description:

This is an embroidery recreation of swan swimming in a pond with lotus. Notice that lighter or darker blue colors were used on lotus leaves and stems. Lighter or darker yellow colors were used on Lotus' petals and the pistils. Two black swan look like a loving couple and being affectionate also enjoying their life. Their necks are curved beautifully. They look at each other and slowly swim away. Their lower body were into the water and it was handled well. Lotus and their big leaves with flowers were heavily stitched. Some shadows and reflections can be found in water. The whole image looks serene, elegant, peaceful and beautiful. The transferring of colors is detailed and gradations are handled well. It is a fully stitched embroidery which means the stitches covered every where of this art. It is a respectful embroidery piece.
