Shaoshan is Mao's hometown. The farmhouses in this paining were Mao's former
residence. This was a well embroidered art piece and used traditional
stitches, also Random stitches.

People's Republic of China and Cultural Revolution (1949-1976, and to present) Embroidery
1949, People's Republic of China finally formed.
After the liberation, people lived stable, and pursuit of material and
spiritual had met the demands and trends at that time. Culture
development and art became the main objective of leisure life. Large
numbers of outstanding embroidery came into being and the use of
embroidery had been greatly improved. Embroidery techniques' innovation
and maturity had been raised to the history new level, but the subjects
matter limited with distinctive characters, to prominent political
figures or political sprit of life.
From 1966 -1976, economic construction and embroidery had stopped. Whole
nation suffered from the Cultural Revolution Movement for a decade.
Embroidery industry had no progress, innovation and creativities at all.
They all had political tastes if any embroidery were out there.
Liberation to the Cultural Revolution ended after 1976, the embroidery
was at another historical period. Outstanding embroidery techniques
reached high, but there were not many art embroidery pieces survived.
The embroidery collections and values during that period have a
significant room rising and appropriate opportunities for investors. Embroidery had grow and improved since then.
